MADDERMARKET THEATRE & UEA: Romeo and Juliet
A rural Norfolk pub stood as the setting for Romeo & Juliet, a debut co-production between The Maddermarket Theatre and UEA. The company was made of up of Maddermarket veterans, current students, graduates, and performers new to the venue. Will Teather has worked from his Norwich studio for over 15 years. He is Artist in Residence for Norwich Arts Centre, exhibiting across East Anglia and internationally. He  also co-founded Art Fair East, is an Associate Lecturer at Norwich University of the Arts and played a key role in establishing Anteros Arts Foundation. willteather.com

NORWICH DANDIES
The Norwich Dandies are a community driven arts collective directed by professional artists Eloise O’Hare, Christina Violet Sabberton and Dugald Ferguson. Their projects are intended to be enjoyed by everyone however they mostly make their group work with people from hard-to-reach LGBTQIA+, feminist, mental health and disabled communities. norwichdandies.co.uk


THE JARROLD NEW WRITING AWARD

AMIE M MARIE
Amie M Marie is a queer and disabled comedian, artist, and political playwright. Her play Scrounge is a story about the incredibly traumatic and violent bureaucratic welfare processes in the UK which aim to downplay and disprove disabled people’s reality. KITTY PERRIN
Kitty Perrin first entered the world of broadcasting as a local musician in 2019. Now at the age of 22, she has spent 3 years working within the BBC Voices team as a presenter and producer for BBC Music Introducing in Norfolk and The Social.

FUTURE RADIO
Future Radio is Norwich’s Community Radio Station and part of the charity Future Projects. Community engagement is their lifeblood and their current team of over 70 local volunteers create and present shows representing the interests, specialist music genres, culture, organisations, businesses and goings-on in Norwich. futureradio.co.uk

TRINA LEE & EMILY PENMAN-LEE
Trina is a fully qualified ISTD dance teacher, and founded her dance school, Noise and Chance in December 2001. She prides herself on giving local children a high standard of dance education, offering tuition that’s fun, safe, progressive, professional and rewarding. Emily trained at the Arts Educational Schools, London. Her teaching career spans 12 years of experience in 12 genres of dance, drama & singing tuition, and she aims to ensure all children benefit from the same level of artistic opportunities, regardless of their locality or background.

Katie Bird is one of the co-founders of Magic Floor Productions and produces a wide variety of work including theatrical productions, schools’ theatre, historical work, choirs, and a writers’ group.
